I just want to mention that the famous concert will be broadcasted live by the German national TV and millions of people will have the chance to enjoy this experience.” Also, the German Ambassador in Cyprus, Mr. Nikolai Von Schoepff, mentioned that it is a great honour for Pafos which is the European Capital of Culture to host the concert and he pointed out that without the help of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Embassy in Cyprus, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra wouldn’t have come to Cyprus. He added that “I have to say that in Germany the concert is already being advertised, and we expect to have many German visitors.”

The Chairman of the CTO, Mr. Angelos Loizou, highlighted that it is a unique event not only for Pafos, but for Cyprus as well, and that it is a great honour for the CTO to sponsor the event. Michalis Persianis, Director of the Corporate Department of the Bank of Cyprus, which is a Platinum Sponsor of Pafos2017, commended that the great effort of Pafos2017 created broad prospects for the city of Pafos and added that this is a historic moment for Cyprus.
