1. TZIELEFOS BRIDGE

Tzielefos Bridge is one of the medieval bridges positioned between the Elia and Roudia bridges. Another great walking route can be found just over an hour’s drive inland in the verdant Troodos Mountains. There, you can take a trail from Kaminaria Village to the stunning medieval Tzelefos Bridge. You’ll pass the equally entrancing Elia Bridge on your way too. Surrounded by dense, fragrant pine forests, this trek is one of the most scenic and interesting on the whole of the island. The trip from Kaminaria to Tzelefos Bridge is a little over 8km. 2. PLATRES VILLAGE

Located in the Troodos mountain range, in the Lemesos (Limassol) district, the village of Platres sits at an altitude of 1.100 metres. It can be reached from Lemesos by following the B8 route, and then the F825 for Kato Platres. The picturesque village resembles an amphitheatre, with the lower part of the village having one altitude and the upper part having another, thus separating it into Pano (upper) and Kato (lower) Platres. It is a popular holiday destination and offers accommodation in quaint hotels.

KALIDONIA WATERFALL TRAIL

Kalidonia Waterfall was named by the Scots when visiting the area of Platres, around 1878 and are located two kilometres north of Platres. The Scottish ware amazed by the beauty and the resemblance of the waterfall with their home land. (Scotland used to be called Kalidonia in ancient times). Kalidonia Waterfalls are among the highest natural waterfalls  in Cyprus. The water of the waterfall falls vertically from a height of 12m. The visitor may visit the area using the roadway towards the waterfall or following nature trail on foot leading to it near Psilodentro.

3. PLATANIA FOREST

Enjoy and photograph autumn landscapes in Troodos region like Platania picnic and camping site. Platania is located 5km from the village of Kakopetria near the Platania forest station. The altitude is 1100 meters while the maximum capacity in terms of tents and caravans is 150. Platania area is a preferred location for both Cypriots and foreigners who would like to have a picnic in the Troodos Mountains. There are nine picnic sites within the Park area (Troodos National Park) with a capacity for 250 to 2 000 visitors. Among the facilities provided are wooden tables, drinking water, car parks, toilets and children’s play areas. Barbecues are permitted only in the pits provided in designated areas.

Above all, they will experience the friendly and traditional hospitality of the villages. Pedoulas village is surrounded by pine woods, cherry trees and lies in the Marathasa valley. Pedoulas is a village in the Nicosia district and is located on the Troodos mountain. Tourists and generally all visitors have the opportunity to enjoy excellent and romantic natural trails either in the forest or through the green orchards. Pedoulas village is ideal for nature lovers as it offers a great variety of nature trails for those who love walking but for those who love cycling as well.
